ABRAMSON/GRIFFIN/HOLCOMB – Searching GRIFFIN family.  Grandparents are George and Ella (ABRAMSON) GRIFFIN.  On their marriage record his parents are listed as Frank Griffin and Lida/Alida HOLCOMB.  Looking for documentation to prove Lida/Elida/Alida HOLCOMB b. ca 1853 NY and believed to have died in Livingston County.  Michelle GRIFFIN BOOTH, 4425 W. PERRY/BROWN – My g-grandfather, George B. PERRY was b. in NY in 1850 and married Harriet A. BROWN.  Livingston County records show they divorced 1 May 1907.  Harriet d. in Howell, Livingston 8 Feb 1915.  There were seven children listed on the 1900 census for Livingston County:  Winifred, Arthur, Henry, Cora, Maud, Ray, and Blanche.  This family had also lived in Shiawassee and Genesee counties.  Penny Summers –

PROSSER/JOSLYN – Looking for information regarding inmate of the Poor House located in Section 15, Marion Twp.  Mr. JOSLYN died 4 June 1889 and his body was taken to Bay City by his daughter Ella JOSLIN PROSSER.  Looking for PROSSER inf. as well as more inf. of Poor House.  John Manutes at


ANGUS/ANGERS – Searching for birth record for Charles ANGUS b. 24 Jan 1839 in
Tyrone, Livingston, MI acceptable for lineage society.  By 1860 he moved to Caledonia,
Shiawassee Co. and d. 28 Oct 1922 – Joanna Luce, 14519 Carolina Hollow Lane, Houston, TX 77044.

BENNETT – PHILLIPS – Researching Belle BENNETT b. 4 Sep 1865 in Brighton, Livingston Co., MI, d. 19 June 1944 in Alameda Co., CA, dtr. of John BENNETT and Alvira PHILLIPS of Livingston Co.  Belle md. 3 x:  SCHOLAR, WIESMEYER, and MAULBATCH.  John BENNETT was of Hamburg, Livingston, MI.  Alvira b. 1839 in Genoa, Livingston, MI.  Alvira was the dtr. of Conrad PHILLIPS and Elizabeth (unknown).  Any information appreciated.  Leigh Cox, PO Box 5704, Santa Rosa, CA 95402.

BROWN – John M. (Martin) BROWN purchased 250 acres in Marion Township in 1837 and died before 1854 when his wife and heirs sold the property.  There is no record in Seneca, Ontario Co., NY of his death.  Looking to verify his death and burial.  Write Douglas Brown,

CHRISPELLL/CRISPELL/CRISPA/CHRISPBALL/CHRISTFORD – Researching for inf. on Martha Ann dtr. of Mary Ann RIDER and Joseph CHRISPELL who were md. in Washtenaw county 19 Mar 1836. Had dtrs.: Angelina b. 1839, Martha b. 1840/41, Sarah b. 1848. By 1850 C Joseph is not found but Martha is still in Salem, Washtenaw. Is there a connection to Jacob Crispell who owned land in Livingston County about the same time? ~ Martha Pierce, 1448 White Columns Blvd., Canton, GA 30115.

EMERSON – Researching Sherman T. EMERSON b. 1869. In 1940 was living in Oceola with wife Etta B. He d. 1947 living in the Livingston County Infirmary for the Aged. In 1913 he had lost his youngest son in a combine accident. Any information appreciated. ~ Roxann Wilkinson, 915 Dunlap, Lansing, MI 48910.

GRAHAM/NELSON – Charles GRAHAM b. 1848 in Hartland, Livingston, MI. Death unknown. Md. Caroline NELSON, July 1871 in Hartland. She was b. 30 May 1846 in Oceola, Livingston, MI and d. in Brighton in 1931. Caroline was md. #2 Munson DICKINSON and #3 Harvey BAILEY. Charles and Caroline had 2 children: Effie and Frank. Have inf. on Effie but am confused on Frank. He was b. 1878 and looking for his death. Lakeview Cemetery says he d. 23 Feb 1927 but he appears on the 1930 Census living with his Mother and her obituary 22 February 1931 says she is survived by son Frank. PERRY/BROWN – Searching George B. PERRY b. 1850 NY and living 1860 Vernon, Shiawassee County, MI.  In 1873, he md. Harriet A. BROWN and living in Clayton, Genesee, MI.  At the 1900 census, they were in Howell, Livingston, MI.  They divorced in 1907 in Livingston County.  Seven known children:  Winfield, Arthur, Henry, Cora, Maud, Ray, and Blanche.  Harriet d. 8 Feb 1915.  Any additional information on this family will be greatly appreciated.  Penny Summers, 27 Tamarac Bay, Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA R2J 2Y9.

WINES/GANNON – Researching George John WINES b. 8 Dec 1814, d. 19 Jan 1906 and wife Mary (GANNON) WINES 1831-1911 with son Michael T. WINES b. 9 May 1858, d. 9 May 1935.
